LILLY PETRONKA had more great deals recently. At her local Rite Aid where the store was doing some remodeling, there were many items on clearance. At the back of the store she found 4 surge protectors each with six outlets and breaker switches. Three were Belkin and one was Tripp. They normally cost $11.99 . At the checkout the clerk had to void and start over again as the items were ringing up at full price. The manager stated that those items weren't supposed to be on clearance but since they had the sticker on them and the cashier had already rung them up, Lilly was able to purchase them for only $2.99 each. She also found 4 packages of pantyhose for 50% off. The pantyhose are a regular price of $5.49 each.

VIRGINIA ANN SENYK sent the Web page to donate bowls of pet food to pet shelters for free. There are also links for donating to breast cancer, veterans and more, all free. You can click once a day. http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=3 . VIRGINIA wrote us that the Energizer i-Tunes $10 GC offer has been out for several months now. You must buy the SMP battery packages with a special code inside the package. You enter 3 codes online to earn the GC. There is a limit to the number of GC's you can earn. http://www.energizerpromotions.com/music/login.php There's a whole page of assorted rebate offers found on the Blain's Farm and Fleet Website. Some have already passed their required purchase time period though you have until mid July to postmark or receive submission. I don't think all of them will only take CRT from Farm and Fleet. So you can buy them at other stores for the rebate.

BEN --Dear Sue,

A while back you made a tape at the Greenwood Mall and on that tape you gave advice about saving all your coupons for detergent because you never know if one might go on sale. This is true for Ajax Dish Detergent. It was regular price at Kroger for $ 0.99 and I had 50 cent coupons (4) of them and the store doubled them. So all I paid was tax the for 4 bottles of Ajax Detergent (16 oz.).

DUTCH DE C -Dear Susan

I recently was scanning a local grocery store circular, and noticed that just on the front page you could plan a complete dinner for four withOUT even using coupons for less than $5.00!! They had chicken breast for .99/cents per lb. (buy 2 lb. = $2.00), pasta $1.00, and fresh express salad for $2.00 = $5.00! Pasta, Chicken, and Salad for $5.00 without even USING coupons!

I decided to put some of the "Super-Couponing" skills to use that I've learned through reading Refundle Bundle, and your book! I matched a coupon to the pasta .50/1 box (my local store doesn't double - if I had gone over to New Jersey, it would have been EVEN more savings.) Then I matched a $1.00/1 coupon to the salad; bringing the salad down to $1.00. My total went from $5.00 to $3.50 ($3.00 if my store doubled)!

I then decided to go EVEN deeper! There was a refund - $10 when you buy $10.01 worth of chicken! So that $2.00 worth of chicken would go to the refund, essentially making it FREE!

As you say, “do as little or as much as you can!” By just scanning the front page of the flyer (without matching up coupons) we were able to feed a family of four for dinner for $5.00! Then, when we matched up coupons it dropped to $3.50! Add in the refund on the chicken and the whole meal cost a whopping $1.50!!

By applying even the simplest super shopper tips, here's proof that even the "littlest" bit of savings makes a big difference!

Until Next Time,

Dear Dutch,

Very impressive, and you’re right, it’s so important to review the store flyer for those all important deals. Susan

BOB BIEHL--Dear Susan,

--Dude Uses Coupons--

I just got done reading your book Supershop like the Coupon Queen. It gave some good pointers. I am a couponer and have been one for about 6 years.

One thing that you said in your book that I would like to correct you on. The Whole Foods Markets do accept coupons and a lot of them are printable. You can see for yourself by going to www.healthylifedeals.com. It is a site my little sister runs and she does coupon matchups for Whole Foods and Trader Joes. It is amazing how much she has saved at Whole Foods. I just wish there were a Whole Foods closer to my house. But you might want to check her out.

DAWN ORZENSKI --Dear Sue,

I am really getting into the couponing. I went to Shoprite this week and spent $28.00 and saved $94.00 (I had some of those $3.00 weekly coupons from the previous week.) Boy, if we could do that every week! That is one of my best! My Mom is so proud of me, I beat her with coupons a long time ago.

Thanks for the great job you do with your magazine.

TAMMY REDNOUR –Susan

I recently received my first Refundle Bundle and I love it!!! But I am looking for a refund for Dyson animal vacuum cleaner and a Phillips TV. I have looked everywhere and can’t come up with anything. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Dear Tammy,

So glad you like Refundle Bundle. For the vacuum cleaner try Bed, Bath and Beyond. At the store’s courtesy desk they have an entire sheet of rebates that are updated monthly. For the TV, look at Best Buy, they often have rebates there.

Let me know how you make out. Sue

CONNIE KOREY --Susan

HI; I just started to read your book. I started to use coupons many years ago, but it just didn’t work for me. My husband and I are retired and my son, who is not working, lives at home. I had to rethink over my ideas about coupons and need all the help I could get. I am improving and saving anywhere from $2.00 to 15.00. When you spend $60.00 and get back $15.00 it’s a big deal. I’m just getting warmed up. I have a lot to learn.

Dear Connie:

Keep up the good work. The more you “coupon,” the more you will learn to save and look for good deals!

When One Promotional Offer Unexpectedly Leads to Others!

By Virginia Ann Senyk

I sign up for as many store e-newsletters as possible. That way I'll get advanced notice of promotions.

One day I got an e-newsletter from Office Depot announcing a promo for a $15 pre-paid Visa GC when you bought minimum $59 worth of national brand computer ink. Offer was limited to Web purchases or phone in orders only.

I went through e-bates&placed my order. In rechecking the newsletter, there was mention of another promo. This one was for a gift box of 3M products valued at $100 when you bought a minimum of $50 worth of participating 3M label products.

I could always use certain label products. And a $50 purchase would get me free shipping. While browsing 3M label products on the Office Depot Website, I learned about another mail-in promo for buying participating 3M label products. This one was a $10 pre-paid Visa GC when you bought select 3M products totaling $30 or more.

I received the gift box&found a treasure trove of assorted items. They ranged from 3M scissors, 3M sandpaper block for wood working, Command Hook, O-Cello Sponge, to painting tape, & Post-it product. It even contained a dog chew treat made by a 3M division!

I gave this gift box to our county emergency rescue squad so squad members could choose what items they could personally use. And what items could be used at squad headquarters. It was like Christmas in February for them!

I received the Office Depot sponsored p
